This show will cover medium & heavy duty hybrids vehicles and the new incentives available in California. Electric & hydrolic hybrids are making their way into fleets and can qualify for up to $60,000 dollars in incentives, in some cases. Listen to learn more. Meet the people, companies and organizations that are working to break our nations addiction to foreign oil by developing the fuel, vehicles and infrastructure of tommorrow. This program is Hosted by Curtis Martin, Program Coordinator for Antelope Valley Clean Cities. The Clean Cities Program is run out of the Dept of Energys Advanced Transportation Division and is a public/private partnership, which encourages local decisions to adopt alternative fuel vehicles. The show is sponsored by the Ryder/Sanbag project and funded through the 2009 ARRA stimulus funds. The Ryder/SANBAG project is part of a joint public/private partnership between the U.S. Department of Energy, the California Energy Commission, San Bernardino Associated Governments, Southern California Association of Governments, and Ryder. The $38.7 million project includes a total of 202 natural gas vehicles available for lease or rent, three strategically located natural gas compliant maintenance shops in Rancho Dominguez, Orange, and Fontana, and two fueling stations. Ryder took delivery of 70 vehicles in May and is expected to have the balance of the full 202 SANBAG natural gas vehicle order in its fleet by the end of 2011.
